Effect of Plant Growth Regulators, Biofertilizers and Antioxidants on Physio-morphological, Yield and Quality Attributes of Field Pea (Pisum sativum var. Arvense)

Koutik Roy and Arshdeep Singh
The field pea crop was very suitable for many areas but due to less soil fertility the quality and quantity of grains was reduced. The growth parameters like plant height, number of leaves, number of branches all was affected and same in the yield parameters like number of pods per plant, number of seeds per pod, etc.

Response of Off-season Growth Manipulation Through Varying Concentrations of Plant Hormone and Branch Bending on Qualitative Traits of Guava

Khan Jabroot, Deepika Saxena, Madhurima Chaudhuri, Rahul Rodge and Sargam Kumar
Guava (Psidium guajava L.) from the Myrtaceae family whose pericarp is a rich source of various antioxidants has also emerged as an excellent processed product. Three flowering seasons mirg, ambe, and hasta are observed by the guava tree where hasta yields good-quality fruits but is not satisfactory enough to feed the population.

Investigating the Influence of Drying Temperature and Tray Loads on Kinetics, Moisture Diffusivity, Retention of Bioactive Compounds, and Color Characteristics of Baby Corn

Ubaida Akbar, Vikas Nanda, Prasad Rasane, Jyoti Singh and Sawinder Kaur
The drying kinetics of long-graded baby corn was investigated using a tray dryer at 50-70 °C with a tray load of 0.30-0.45 g/cm². The sample was given pretreatment of microwave blanching to inactivate the peroxidase enzyme. Drying data was fitted in three thin layer drying models viz. Page, Lewis, and Henerson-Pabis.

To Study the Germination Effect on Finger Millet, Pearl Millet and Buckwheat: It’s Impact on Phytochemical Properties and Their Prebiotic Effect

Sneha K, Mukul Kumar, Deepika Kaushik, Ashwani Kumar, Vikas Bansal, Fatih Oz and Charalampos Proestos
Effect of germination temperature on the radicle length, phytochemical properties and prebiotic effect of finger millet, pearl millet and buckwheat were investigated. Germination of grain occurred at T1, T2, and T3 with different time range 24 h to 72 h. Results indicated that finger millet and pearl millet showed significantly (p < 0.05) better growth at T3 as compare with T1 and T2, while buckwheat had better growth at T1.
